7.6.10 Temporary Signalling Method Changeover

Definition
The signalling method can be temporarily changed while a connection is set up. Normally, this is done
with a code. All subsequent digits are transmitted to the central office in the desired mode.
This temporary state is terminated when the handset is replaced.

Enquiry DTMF mode is deactivated when the enquiry feature is activated.
Voice Mail DTMF mode is automatically activated when an extension configured as voice mail is
selected.

Performing Feature Check
Check the feature for error-free functioning as follows:
Step
1. Set up a connection.
2. Change over to DTMF mode using the procedure described.
3. All digits that are now dialled are transmitted in DTMF mode.
