3.3 Peripheral boards

Note
The peripheral boards in OfficeCom and OfficePoint must be inserted firmly into the appropriate slot.
Contact problems can otherwise lead to board failure.

3.3.1 LAN Bridge

Introduction
With LAN Bridge, the internal LAN in Hicom 150 E OfficeCom/OfficePoint can be connected to an
external LAN via the public ISDN network.
The board is installed in the same way as an S
and the LAN environment.
This board can only be installed once in each system.
The LAN Bridge connection at OfficePoint is set up in connection with the STLS board at
slot 5.
Interfaces/connectors
X1: 50-pole to the system
X2: 6-pole shielded MiniDin jack for V.24
X3: LAN port, 10-pole shielded and encoded Western socket for LAN 10Base-5, AUI (15-pin
Cannon connector via cable adapter)
X4: LAN port, 8-pole Western socket for LAN 10Base-T, RJ45 socket (twisted pair)
