12.3 Mounting and connecting the base station

When selecting an installation site for the BS, the following criteria should be observed:
The base station must be easily accessible.
In order to make optimum use of the radio range of the Hicom cordless 150 E
system, the installation site of the base stations should be carefully selected.
The base stations are set up in accordance with the installation sites marked in the
building / site plan. If a site has not yet been selected, this should be done using the
guidelines in the section entitled Site selection for the base station
Preferably, measurements should be taken on-site (radio coverage) so that
infrastructure factors can be taken into account (in accordance with the information in
the manual "Hicom cordless - presentation/measurement equipment" (see
documentation).
The base station is designed for operation in protected rooms with a temperature range of 0 °C
to +45 °C.
Using the
outdoor
°C (the heating module has not yet been released for use with Hicom cordless 150 E Version
1.0).
Direct sunlight
BS with no outdoor casing: always avoid direct sunlight
BS with outdoor casing: the sunshade must be used to protect the BS from direct sunlight.
The base station should not be installed in damp rooms such as the bathroom, laundry room, for
example, or directly adjacent to heat sources, such as radiators for example.
The installation site should not be directly adjacent to other electronic devices, such as normal
telephones, hi-fi systems, office or microwave equipment so as to avoid interference.
Special tools for mounting the base station
The tool and aids listed in the table below are not included in the standard delivery package.
