Guidelines governing the handling of data
A conscientious and responsible approach helps protect data and observe data security:
Ensure that only authorised persons have access to customer data.
Take full advantage of the facility for allocating passwords, without permitting any exceptions.
Never give passwords to an unauthorised person, e. g. by means of a written note.
Ensure that no unauthorised person can ever process (store, modify, transmit, disable or delete)
or use customer data.
Prevent unauthorised persons from gaining access to data media, e.g. backup disks or protocol
printouts. This applies to service calls as well as storage and transport.
Ensure that data media which are no longer required are completely destroyed and that
documents are not stored or left in places which are generally accessible.
Work closely with your customer contact partner as this promotes trust and reduces your
workload.
