Hicom 150 E Office Rel.1.0 Service Manual - 13 Service
13.3.3 Telephone test
After the system has been started up and the country adaptation completed, you can perform a
telephone test on each optiset E telephone using a code or via a service menu.
This connects the display (own extension number displayed), the LEDs and the calls to the terminal.
The function of these components is visually and acoustically tested by the initiator. The test
terminates automatically.

All LEDs flash rapidly for approximately five seconds. All display pixels are activated
and a tone sounds.
If the described test response does not occur, you will need an additional power supply unit
(plug-type AC adapter) for the system telephone.
If the date and time are not displayed on the screen after start-up, either the system telephone or the
cable path is defective. Replace the system telephone or test the cable paths.
13.3.4 Line diagnostics
13.3.4.1 Line status
The system software logs the current status of each line in a table. When the status changes, the new
status is entered along with a time stamp. In addition to the date, the time stamp contains the time in
increments of one second.
Each line can be in one of the following states:
Idle
Incoming/outgoing call
Trunk-to-trunk connection (transit)
Line locked (lockout switch or lock in CDB )
Line failure
The table can be read out with Hicom Assistant E. The table is converted into a readable format for
display.
13.3.4.2 Error memory
An error memory with 5 entries is provided for each line. When an error occurs, an error identifier is
entered along with a time stamp. The error identifier shows the following:
