Hicom 150 E Office Rel.1.0 Service Manual - 7.11 Networking

7.11.2 Closed Numbering

Definition
In private networks, extension numbers, trunk access codes and codes for features can be assigned in
accordance with a numbering plan stipulated by the customer.
Hicom 150 E Office supports closed and open numbering. When the extension numbers are unique
throughout the network, each subscriber in the network can call another extension by dialling the
relevant extension number. This is referred to as a closed numbering plan.
CorNet N dial plans support extension numbering. In the CorNet N network private extension
numbers of not more than 6 digits in length can be assigned uniquely. This type of numbering is also
referred to as closed numbering.
