IP Configuration Command Set
Configuring Routing Interface Settings

12.2.1.2 interface

Use this command to enable interface configuration mode from global configuration mode. For
details on configuration modes supported by the Matrix E1 device and their uses, refer to
in
Section
3.3.3.
interface vlan vlan_id | loopback loopback-id
NOTES: VLANs must be created in switch mode before they can be configured for IP
routing. For details on creating VLANs and configuring them for IP, refer to
Section
3.3.2.
Each VLAN or loopback interface must be configured for routing separately using the
interface command. To end configuration on one VLAN before configuring another,
type exit at the command prompt. Enabling interface configuration mode is required for
completing interface-specific configuration tasks. For an example of how these
commands are used, refer to
