9.3.7 CHANNEL OPERATION

9.3.7.1 Monitor channel operation
The monitor channel is a handshake protocol for high speed information exchange between S3C2500B and other
devices. The monitor channel operates on an asynchronous basis. While data transfers on the bus take place
synchronized to frame sync, the flow of data is controlled by a handshake procedure using MX (monitor transmit)
and MR (monitor receive). For example, data is placed onto the monitor channel and the MX bit is activated. This
data will be transmitted repeatedly once per 8-KHz frame until the transfer is acknowledged via the MR bit.
Receiver
MX: Monitor transmit bit, active low
MR: Monitor receive bit, active low
