For peers to successfully negotiate authentication on both sides of the link, you must configure a
hostname, password, remote hostname and remote password for CHAP authentication.
ppp authentication
ppp chap hostname
ppp chap rem-hostname
ppp chap rem-password
Configure a remote hostname to be used in the CHAP authentication process.
ppp chap rem-hostname name
To remove the remote hostname, enter no ppp chap rem-hostname.
