Inspection

e n g i n e . A l l o w t h e o i l a f e w m i n u t e s t o d r a i n b a c k
into the oil pan so the dipstick will show the actual
t e v e t ,
Make certain that the oil level indicated on the dip-
stick is between the upper and lower marks.
l f t h e l e v e l h a s d r o p p e d c l o s e t o t h e l o w e r m a r k ,
add oil until it reaches the upper mark.
C A U T I O N : I n s e r t t h e d i p s t i c k c a r e t u l l y t o a v o i d
bending it.

engine is hot; the hot oil may cause scalding.

with the recommended oil.
CAUTION: Do not overtighten the drain plug.
NOTE: Under normal conditions, the oil filter should be
replaced at every other oil change. Under severe condi-
t i o n s , t h e o i l f i l t e r s h o u l d b e r e p l a c e d a t e a c h o i l c h a n g e .
