GEN5i system and data disk

Data disk are pre-formatted and have no Windows
When using a removable data disk an internal (Not removable) system disk
must be installed to run the Windows
disks shipped up to 2012 can have different continuous write speeds and
unformatted disk sizes.
HINT/TIP
HBM supplies USB attached removable disk bays to be used with your desktop
or laptop PC. When removing the removable data disks from the GEN5i it can
be directly plugged into the USB disk bay and attached to any Windows based
PC. All recorded data stored by the GEN5i can be directly used without copying
the data first.
System disks need to have the Windows
install the Windows
System disks are also setup as a RAID 0 dual disk setup. This setup has impact
on the BIOS setting of the GEN5i. RAID 0 system disks cannot be replaced by
standard data disks without changing your BIOS setup. Never make these
setup changes in the field without backing all your data on the disks first.
WARNING
Never use RAID enabled removable disk options mixed with standard non
RAID disk setups. Also never mix RAID modes when using removable
drives. Your disk bay might not be accessible anymore and all data on the
RAID bay will be lost.

All system disk option have a Windows

Windows
7 license on multiple disks is not allowed. For this reason multiple
(internal or removable) system disks cannot be offered as a standard option.
When ordering a system disk option the standard internal system disk will
always be removed. HBM special services can work out a special project
proposal to meet special needs.
