PC connections

GEN5i has a PC motherboard inside. This PC motherboard has a lot of
connections that can be used to connect other devices to the GEN5i system.

A PS/2 Mouse and keyboard
B Display connector

F Serial port connector
A Keyboard and PS/2 mouse connectors This stacked connector is for
PS/2 mouse (top) and keyboard (bottom). The mouse and keyboard ship-
ped with the instrument are both USB devices and should be connected
to a USB-port.
B Display connector An external monitor can be connected to this connec-
tor and can be used as a second screen. This is a standard SVGA con-
nector (DB15 high-density) for analog monitors.
C USB connectors Eight USB connectors are available on the rear of the
system. All these USB-ports are USB 2.0 allowing data transfers up to
480 Mb/s and capable for high-speed, full-speed and low-speed devices.
The 5 V supply for the USB devices is on-board fused with a 2.0 A reset-
able fuse. The supply is common for the two channels located in top/bottom
pairs.
