The voltage division is done externally in the probe to maintain accuracy

Input range is +/-1 kV from (+) to (-), NOT from (-) to (+)

Isolation voltage is +/-250 V

The negative input has NOT CHANGED AT ALL

In theory, if only the (+) input would be connected to 1 kV, the (-) input
l
would float up to 1 kV as well as there is no reference for the divider. In
practice, leakage currents are there which in many cases prevent this.
