The GEN5i is a robust portable transient recorder and data acquisition system and part of the proven GEN DAQ series
data acquisition systems. The GEN5i comes with a Core 2 Duo Intel CPU, 4 GB of memory, large, high-resolution
TFT screen, full dual monitor support, Windows
based analysis, computing and reporting. The GEN5i has Windows
Perception comes with these five plus three more languages pre-installed.
To maximize storage speed, the GEN5i uses a RAID 0 drive setup to guarantee 50 MB/s sustained continuous
recording speed. Using solid state disk options increases this speed to 100 MB/s. For more reliable storage the GEN5i
supports different storage options ranging from internal RAID 0 solid state disk to replacement of the internal fixed
system disk with a fully removable RAID 0 hard disk or solid state disk. Using one of the removable system disk options
guarantees enhanced data security, since no classified data will be left behind when the removable system disk has
been taken out of the GEN5i.
