Connecting power

The power inlet and the protective ground lug are located on the rear of the
GEN5i system. A main power cord according to the country is shipped with the
unit.
WARNING
Connect a protective ground wire to prevent electric shock or damage to
the GEN5i.
The On/Off switch located just below the power inlet connects/disconnects the
main power from the GEN5i system. To disconnect the GEN5i completely from
the AC supply, unplug the IEC connector on the rear of the instrument. This
switch isn't used to switch on the GEN5i instrument. Use the power button on
the front panel for this purpose, see "Front panel control" on page 100.
