Example
The following example sets the number of seconds between re-authentication attempts to 300.
console(config)# interface ethernet 1/g16
console(config-if-1/g16)# dot1x timeout re-authperiod 300

dot1x timeout server-timeout

Use the dot1x timeout server-timeout command in Interface Configuration mode to set the
time that the switch waits for a response from the authentication server. To return to the default
setting, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
dot1x timeout server-timeout
no dot1x timeout server-timeout
seconds — Time in seconds that the switch waits for a response from the authentication
server. (Range: 1–65535)
Default Configuration
The period of time is set to 30 seconds.

User Guidelines
The actual timeout is this parameter or the product of the Radius transmission times the Radius
timeout, whichever is smaller
