Example
The following example configures an IPv6 address and enables IPv6 processing.
console(config)#interface vlan 15
console(config-if-vlan15)#ipv6 address 2020:1::1/64

ipv6 enable

Use the ipv6 enable command in Interface Configuration mode to enable IPv6 routing on an
interface (including tunnel and loopback interfaces) that has not been configured with an
explicit IPv6 address. Command execution automatically configures the interface with a link-
local address. The command is not required if an IPv6 global address is configured on the
interface.
Syntax
ipv6 enable
no ipv6 enable
Default Configuration
Disabled is the default configuration.
