rmon alarm

Use the rmon alarm command in Global Configuration mode to configure alarm conditions. To
remove an alarm, use the no form of this command. Also see the related show rmon alarm
command.
Syntax
rmon alarm
direction

no rmon alarm
index — The alarm index. (Range: 1–65535)
variable — A fully qualified SNMP object identifier that resolves to a particular instance of an
MIB object.
interval — The interval in seconds over which the data is sampled and compared with the
rising and falling thresholds. (Range: 1–4294967295)
rthreshold — Rising Threshold. (Range: 0–4294967295)
fthreshold — Falling Threshold. (Range: 0–4294967295)
revent — The index of the Event that is used when a rising threshold is crossed. (Range: 1-
65535)
fevent — The Event index used when a falling threshold is crossed. (Range: 1- 65535)
type — The sampling method for the selected variable and calculating the value to be

compared against the thresholds. If the method is absolute, the value of the selected variable
is compared directly with the thresholds at the end of the sampling interval. If the method is
delta, the selected variable value at the last sample is subtracted from the current value, and
the difference compared with the thresholds.

sample (after this entry becomes valid) is less than or equal to the
