default-metric

Use the default-metric command in Router OSPFv3 Configuration mode to set a default for
the metric of distributed routes.
Syntax
metric
default-metric
no default-metric
metric — Metric value used for distribution (Range: 1-16777214)
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Router OSPFv3 Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example sets a default of 100 for the metric of distributed routes.
console(config)#ipv6 router ospf
console(config-rtr)#default-metric 100

distance ospf

The distance ospf command sets the preference values of OSPF route types in the router. Lower
route preference values are preferred when determining the best route. The type of OSPF route
can be intra, inter, external. All the external type routes are given the same preference value. Use
the "no" form of this command to reset the preference values to the default.
Syntax
distance ospf {external | inter-area | intra-area }
no distance ospf {external | inter-area | intra-area }
distance — Used to select the best path when there are two or more routes to the same
destination from two different routing protocols (Range: 1–255).
