Interface Configuration (VLAN) mode
User Guidelines
If the command is executed without add or remove, the command registers only the group in
the bridge database.
Static Multicast addresses can be defined only on static VLANs.
Examples
The following example registers the MAC address.
console(config)#interface vlan 8
console(config-if-vlan8)#bridge multicast address 0100.5e02.0203
The following example registers the MAC address and adds ports statically.
console(config)#interface vlan 8
console(config-if-vlan8)#bridge multicast address 0100.5e02.0203
add ethernet 1/g1-1/g9, 1/g2
bridge multicast filtering
Use the bridge multicast filtering command in Global Configuration mode to enable filtering
of Multicast addresses. To disable filtering of Multicast addresses, use the no form of the bridge
multicast filtering command.
Syntax
bridge multicast filtering
no bridge multicast filtering
Default Configuration
Disabled. All Multicast addresses are flooded to all ports of the relevant VLAN.

User Guidelines
If switches exist on the VLAN, do not change the unregistered Multicast addresses' state to drop
on the switch ports.
