area default-cost

Use the area default-cost command in Router OSPF Configuration mode to configure the
monetary default cost for the stub area. Use the no form of the command to return the cost to
the default value.
Syntax
area-id
area
default-cost
area-id
no area
default-cost
area-id — Identifies the OSPF stub area to configure. (Range: IP address or decimal from 0-
4294967295)
integer — The default cost for the stub area. (Range: 1–16777215)
Default Configuration
10 is the default configuration for
Command Mode
Router OSPF Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example identifies a stub area of 10 and default cost of 100.
console(config)#router ospf
console(config-router)#area 10 default-cost 100

area nssa

Use the area nssa command in Router OSPF Configuration mode to configure the specified
area ID to function as an NSSA. Use the no form of the command to disable NSSA from the
specified area ID.
