Example
The following example configures OSPF protocol to allow redistribution of routes from the
specified source protocol/routers.
console(config-router)#redistribute rip metric 90 metric-type 1
tag 555 subnets

router-id

Use the router-id command in Router OSPF Configuration mode to set a 4-digit dotted-
decimal number uniquely identifying the router OSPF ID.
Syntax
ip-address
router-id
ip-address — IP address that uniquely identifies the router OSPF ID.
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.
Command Mode
Router OSPF Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example defines the router OSPF ID as 5.5.5.5.
console(config)#router ospf
console(config-router)#router-id 5.5.5.5
