radius-server deadtime

Use the radius-server deadtime command in Global Configuration mode to improve Radius
response times when servers are unavailable. The command is used to cause the unavailable
servers to be skipped. To set the deadtime to 0, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
radius-server deadtime
no radius-server deadtime
deadtime — Length of time in minutes, for which a Radius server is skipped over by
transaction requests. (Range: 0–2000 minutes)
Default Configuration
The default dead time is 0 minutes.

User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example sets the interval for which any unavailable Radius servers are skipped
over by transaction requests to 10 minutes.
console(config)#radius-server deadtime 10

radius-server host

Use the radius-server host command in Global Configuration mode to specify a RADIUS server
host and enter RADIUS Configuration mode. To delete the specified Radius host, use the no
form of this command.
Syntax
radius-server host [ acct | auth ] {
acct | auth — The type of server (accounting or authentication).
ipaddress — The RADIUS server host IP address.
hostname — Host name of the Radius server host (Range: 1–255 characters).
