tacacs-server timeout
Use the tacacs-server timeout command in Global Configuration mode to set the interval
during which a switch waits for a server host to reply. To restore the default, use the no form of
this command.
Syntax
tacacs-server timeout [ timeout ]
no tacacs-server timeout
timeout — The timeout value in seconds. (Range: 1–30)
Default Configuration
The default value is 5 seconds.

User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example sets the timeout value as 30.
console(config)#tacacs-server timeout 30

Use the timeout command in TACACS Configuration mode to specify the timeout value in
seconds. If no timeout value is specified, the global value is used.
Syntax
timeout [ timeout ]
timeout — The timeout value in seconds. (Range: 1–30)
Default Configuration
If left unspecified, the timeout defaults to the global value.
