Duplex transport motor (M5)

1. Remove the regist unit.

1. Temporarily secure the scanner
motor assy [1] with three screws [2].
2. With the scanner drive gear set
screw [1] located on the right-hand
side as shown on the left, slide the
scanner motor assy [2] to the left and
check that it is returned to the origi-
nal position by the tension of the
spring [3].
Perform this step three times.
3. Turn the pulley and make sure that
the belt does not ride up on the pul-
ley teeth.
4. Tighten the three screws [4] to fix the
scanner motor assy [2] into position.
2. Remove two screws [1] and remove
the 2nd transfer unit [2] as shown in
the illustration.
NOTE
• Do not remove it in rush as it is con-
nected to the harness.
