3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00
By default, SP (Single PPP) mode is enabled.
To increase bandwidth, multiple PPP links can be bound to form a logical MP interface.
For this purpose, it is necessary to specify a virtual template interface on the
corresponding physical interface. MP can be configured on any physical interface
whose link layer protocol is PPP.
Note that, to use MP on the virtual template interface and Dialer interface. The physical
interface can only use MP only after the MP on this template and interface is enabled
first.
When using MP in DDR, this command must be used on the physical interface directly
enabling DDR or the dialer interface, if the standard MP binding of DDR is to be
configured. If the flexible MP binding of DDR is to be configured, both physical and
dialer interfaces should be configured with this command. That is because whether to
implement the MP negotiation is determined in the LCP negotiation, and at this time,
the MP negotiation uses the information of physical interface.
For related commands, see link-protocol ppp, ppp mp user, interface
virtual-template.
