Parameter
n2-value: the value of the N2 parameter, ranging 1 to 255. By default, the n2-value is
10.
Description
Using the lapb retry command, you can configure LAPB N2 parameter. Using the
undo lapb retry command, you can restore to the default value.
The N2 value is the maximum numbers of tries for successful frame transmissions from
a DCE/DTE to a DTE/DCE.
Example
# Set the LAPB N2 parameter on Serial0 to 20.
[3Com-Serial0]lapb retry 20

Syntax
lapb timer { t1 t1-value | t2 t1-value | t3 t3-value }
undo lapb timer { t1 | t2 | t3 }

Parameter
t1-value: the value of T1, ranging 1ms to 64000 ms. By default, the t1-value is 2000 ms.
t2-value: the value of T2, ranging 1ms to 64000 ms. By default, the t1-value is 1000 ms.
t3-value: the value of T3, ranging 1ms to 36000 ms. By default, the t1-value is 0 ms.
Description
Using the lapb timer command, you can configure the LAPB transmission timer T1, T2,
T3. Using the undo lapb timer command, you can restore to the default value of T1, T2,
T3.
When T1 timer expires, DTE (DCE) will start retransmission. The value of T1 should be
greater than the maximum time spanning between sending a frame and receiving an
acknowledgement.
