3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00
gateway import command, you can cancel the filtering on routes exported from the
specified address.
Using the filter-policy ip-prefix import command, you can configure to filter the
global routing information. Using the undo filter-policy ip-prefix import command,
you can remove the filtering on the global routing information.
Using the filter-policy ip-prefix gateway import command, you can filter the routing
information received from the specified address and that matching the prefix-list.
Using the undo filter-policy ip-prefix gateway import command, you can cancel the
filter.
By default, the received routing information is not filtered.
This command can be use to filter the routes received by the BGP, deciding whether
to add the routes to the BGP routing table.
Example
# Filter the routing information received by the BGP by access list 1.
[3Com-bgp] filter-policy 1 import

Syntax
import-route protocol [med med] [ route-policy policy-name ]
undo import-route protocol

Parameter
protocol: The original routing protocol which can be imported. By far, there are five
types: direct, static, rip, ospf and ospf ase.
med med: MED value of imported route.
route-policy policy-name: Use routing policy when importing route of other protocol.
Description
Using the import-route command, you can import routes for BGP from other routing
domain. Using the undo import-route command, you can cancel import route.
