Description
Using the mfr link-name command, you can configure the link identification of a Frame
Relay physical interface. Using the undo mfr link-name command, you can restore
the default value of the link identification of a Frame Relay physical interface.
By default, the link identification of an interface is the same as the interface name.
The remote device can determine the link belonging to a MFR interface through the link
identification. Therefore local and remote link identifications are not unique.
Only after being enabled through the command shutdown/undo shutdown, can the
newly configured link identification take effect.
Only after you use the command link-protocol fr mfr to associate the Frame Relay
bundle link interface with the Frame Relay bundle, can the command mfr link-name
take effect. Besides, using the command link-protocol fr mfr number name, you can
configure the name of the bundle link identification.

Parameter
number: Number of times waiting for the acknowledge timer to time out successively, in
the range from 1 to 5. By default, it is 2.
Description
Using the mfr retry command, you can configure the number of times that the Frame
Relay bundle link waits for the acknowledge timer to time out successively. Using the
undo mfr retry command, you can restore the default value of the number of times that
the Frame Relay bundle link waits for the acknowledge timer to time out successively.
After the link has sent a hello message, if it does not receive any acknowledge from the
remote end after the Ack timer times out, one timeout occurs. If the number of the times
of timeout exceeds the maximum retry times, you can know that the fault occurs on the
link.
