1.1.2 display interfaces

Syntax
display interfaces type number [ . sub-number ]

Parameter
type: The type of the interface to be configured. Together with interface-number, it
specifies an interface.
number: The number of the interface. Together with interface-type, it specifies an
interface.
sub-number: Sub interface number.
Description
Using the display interfaces command, you can view the statistics of an interface.
If this command is used, the following information will be displayed:
The physical status and protocol status of the interface
Physical features of the interface (sync/async, DTE/DCE, clock selection,
external cable, etc.)
IP address of the interface
The run status, statistics, etc. of the link-layer protocols encapsulated at the
interface
Statistics of input and output packets at the interface

Example
# Display the statistics of Serial 0 (with PPP link layer protocol).
[3Com]display interfaces serial 0
Serial0 is up, line protocol is up
physical layer is synchronous, baudrate is 64000 bps
interface is DCE, clock is DCECLK, cable type is RS232
Maximum Transmission Unit is 1500
Internet address is 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0
Link-protocol is PPP
LCP opened, IPCP initial, IPXCP initial, CCP initial, BRIDGECP initial
