BGP route summary can be implemented by importing the IGP summary route into
BGP, or by using this command.
If BGP routes meeting the specified range are available, you can create a summary
record in the BGP routing table via the aggregate command without any parameter. It
is a local summary and the automatic summary attribute is set for it, indicating that
information may have been lost in the summary (unless the as-set key word is
specified, the automatic summary attribute is set by default).
Using the as-set keyword will create an aggregate entry (route) of which the AS path
contains a group of ASs. This route integrates the AS path information of all the
specific routes.
Using the detail-suppressed keyword will not create a summary route, but suppress
the advertising of all the specific routes. To suppress some routes only, be careful with
the use of the peer filter-policy command.
When using the suppress-policy keyword to configure aggregate route, you can
point out some specific routes through the if-match clause and delete other specific
routes.
Using the origin-policy keyword only creates a summary route by selecting routes
that meet the route-policy.
Using the attribute-policy keyword can set the attribute of the summary route. Such
methods as peer route-policy can also be used to achieve the same work.
