Parameter
b-node: The broadcast mode, that is, to obtain mapping between a host name and
an IP address in the broadcast mode.
p-node: The peer-to-peer mode, that is, to obtain mapping by communicating with
the NetBIOS server.
m-node: The m (mixed) mode, that is, the type b node with "peer-to-peer"
communication mechanism.
h-node: The h (hybrid) mode, that is, the type p node with broadcast characteristics
partially.
Description
Using the netbios-type command, you can configure the NetBIOS node type of a
DHCP client. Using the undo netbios-type command, you can restore the NetBIOS
node type of the DHCP client to the default value.
By default, clients adopt type h-node to perform the configuration.
The mapping relationship between the host name and IP address should be set up
when the NetBIOS protocol is adopted by the DHCP client on the WAN.
For related commands, see dhcp server ip-pool, nbns-list.
