3Com Router Command Reference — V1.00
The configured IKE policy is used to set up a security tunnel. After executing this
command, you will create IKE policy or enter the policy configuration mode, and you
can configure parameters with such commands as authentication-method,
encryption-algorithm, dh, authentication-algorithm and sa duration. The quit
command is used to exit the policy configuration mode.
Multiple policies can be configured for each end undergoing IKE negotiation, and
negotiation begins with the highest priority policy, and a policy agreed by both ends
will be configured during negotiation.

Syntax
ike sa keepalive-timer { interval | timeout } seconds
undo ike sa keepalive-timer { interval | timeout }

Parameter
interval: Time interval at when the identity sends keepalive packets.
timeout: Time interval at when SA keepalive packets timeout
seconds: Specific time set by the timer, ranging of integer from 20 to 28800, in
seconds.
Description
Using the ike sa keepalive-timer command, you can configure the interval and
timeout timer of the IKE keepalive function. Using the undo ike sa keepalive-timer
command, you can cancel the timing of the corresponding timer.
The keepalive function will test and delete the useless security association when the
peer party is invalid and cannot operate normally. Generally, the initiator transmits a
