1.1 IP Address Configuration Commands
1.1.1 ip address
Syntax
ip address ip-address { mask | masklength } [ sub ]
undo ip address ip-address { mask | masklength } [ sub ]

Parameter
ip-address: The IP address of the interface.
mask: The subnet mask, in decimal format, divided by dots, to the subnet.
mask-length: The length of the subnet mask.
sub: Configure the secondary IP address.
Description
Using the ip address command, you can configure the IP address of the interface.
Using the undo ip address command, you can cancel the IP address of the
interface.
By default, no IP address is defined.
IP addresses fall into 5 classes. You can choose the proper IP subnet as required.
For special purpose, the IP addresses the host addresses of which are all 0s or 1s
can not be used as common IP addresses.
The network number contained in the IP address can be identified by mask. For
example, the IP address of a router Ethernet interface is 129.9.30.42, the mask is
255.255.0.0, you can learn that the network number of the router Ethernet interface is
129.9.0.0 by ANDing the IP address and the mask.
