3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00
Parameter
policy-name: Specify the name of the routing policy.
permit: Specify the matching mode of the defined route-policy node as permit.
deny: Specify the matching mode of the defined route-policy node as deny.
seq-number: Mark a node in the routing policy. When the routing policy is applied to
filter routing information, the node with lesser seq-number will be tested first.
Description
Using the route-policy command, you can create a route-policy node and enter
route-policy view. Using the undo route-policy command, you can cancel a
route-policy or certain node of it.
By default, no routing policy is created.
Route-policy is used for routing information filtering or policy routing. A route-policy is
made up of several nodes each of which contains some if-match and apply
sub-statements. The if-match sub-statements define matching rules of the node, and
the apply sub-statements define the actions to be performed on the matched routes.
The relations among various if-match sub-statements of a node are "AND", that is, the
route must match all the if-match sub-statements of the node. The relations among
various route-policy nodes are "OR", that is, permitted by a single node means
permitted by the route-policy. If a route is denied by all nodes, it will be denied by the
route-policy.
For related commands, see if-match interface, if-match ip address, if-match ip
next-hop, if-match cost, if-match tag, if-match route-type, apply ip next-hop,
apply local-preference, apply cost, apply origin, apply tag.
Example
# Configure a routing policy (policy1): its node sequence number is 10, and match
mode is permit, in the Routing policy view.
[3Com] route-policy policy1 permit 10
[3Com-route-policy]
