3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00
Description
Using the ospf trans-delay command, you can configure the delay time the interface
sends LSA information. Using the undo ospf trans-delay command, you can restore
the default delay time.
LSA ages in "Link Status Database" (LSDB) of the local router (1 is added per
second), but not during the process of network transmission. Therefore it is necessary
to add the aging time before the transmission.
Example
# Set the transit delay for broadcasting the link status at Serial 0 to be 3 seconds.
[3Com-Serial0] ospf trans-delay 3

3.1.35 preference

Syntax
preference [ ase ] value
undo preference [ ase ]
View
OSPF view
Parameter
value: Preference value, ranging from 1 to 255. The default OSPF preference is 10,
the default preference for imported AS external route is 150.
ase: The preference for the imported AS external route.
Description
Using the preference command, you can configure OSPF route preference based on
route type. Using the undo preference command, you can restore the default value.
Since multiple dynamic routing protocols can be run in a router, routing information
sharing and selection is a problem between the routing protocols. Therefore a default
preference is specified for each routing protocol. When a route is identified by
different protocols, the protocol with a high preference will play a decisive role.
Example
# Specify the preference of OSPF imported AS external route to be 160.
