Parameter
1: The length of call reference is 1 byte.
2: The length of call reference is 2 bytes.
Description
Using the isdn crlength command, you can configure a length for the call reference
used by an ISDN PRI interface to originate a call.
By default, the length for the call reference is 2 bytes.
When a router and the peer use QSIG signaling to interconnect to each other, they use
the call reference field in the message to uniquely identify a call. ECMA-143 protocol
stipulates that the call reference field can be one byte or two bytes.
When the router receives a call from the peer, it can automatically identify the length of
call reference. However, some devices on the networks cannot do that. If the router is
interconnected with such a device for sending a call to it, you should configure the
length of call reference to be used in the call for the router.
If calls exist on the ISDN PRI interface, it will be useless to configure this command.
The configuration of this command can take effect only when no calls are on the
interface. Alternatively, you can manually shutdown the ISDN PRI interface, configure
this command, and then execute undo shutdown on the interface. However, the
operations will disconnect all the existing calls on the interface.
This command cannot take effect unless the ISDN PRI interface adopts QSIG
signaling.
For related commands, see isdn protocol-type.
Example
# Set 1 as the length of call reference for the PRI interface to originate a call.
