a Remove:
- the nuts (8) of the battery cover,
- the battery cover.
a Remove the bracket (9) from the battery.

a Remove the battery from the vehicle using a work-
shop hoist.
3 - REPLACEMENT
a Remove the protective cover of the battery.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Check the battery (see Battery: Check) (Technical
Note 6002A, 80A, Battery).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
1 - REPLACEMENT
a Refit the protective cover of the battery.
2 - REFITTING
a Refit:
- the battery in the vehicle,
- the battery bracket,
- the battery cover,
a Clip the degassing pipe in place.
a Refit:
- the fuse box,
- the fuse box bracket,
