Battery terminals: Removal - Refitting
V4Y or V9X
Tightening torquesm
wiring nuts on the fuse
box
positive battery terminal
IMPORTANT
Consult the safety and cleanliness advice and oper-
ation recommendations before carrying out any
repair (see 80A, Battery, Battery: Precautions for
the repair, page 80A-1) .
The positive battery terminal cannot be separated from
the fuse box.
If replacing fuses, check that there are no signs of
overheating on the box. If there are signs of overheat-
ing, replace the positive battery terminal.
To replace the fuses (see 81C, Fuses, Additional
fuse and relay box: Removal - Refitting, page 81C-
4) .
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Switch off the ignition.
WARNING
Before disconnecting the battery:
- wait for the motor-driven fan assembly to stop,
- wait for the computer to finish saving (1
minute).
WARNING
The visual indicator cannot be considered reli-
able in After-Sales; do not use it to determine the
state of the battery.
a Disconnect the battery (see 80A, Battery, Battery:
Removal - Refitting, page 80A-4) .

a Undo the positive battery terminal (1) .
a Remove the positive battery terminal.
a Unclip the connector from the wiring channel at (2) .
