SDV/SDPV Management
This section describes SDV/SDPV management.
SDV/SDPV management provides the following functions:

• Delete Snap Data Pool Volume

• Force Delete Snap Data Pool Volume
• Initialize Snap Data Volume
3.8.1
Delete Snap Data Pool Volume
A Snap Data Pool Volume (SDPV) is a logical volume that is created in the SDP.
This function deletes an SDPV to reduce SDP capacity.
Registering a license for the Advanced Copy function or the Unified Storage environment is required to use
this function.
If the target SDPV is currently being used, it will be deleted after the SDPV is released.
The procedure to delete an SDPV is as follows:
Procedure

Select the SDPV to be deleted (multiple selections can be made) and click [Delete SDPV] in
[Action].
 A confirmation screen appears.

Click the [OK] button.
If the SDPV is currently being used, the target SDPV status is changed to "Reserved Deletion". The
"Reserved Deletion" status can be checked in the [Volume (Basic)] screen in "ETERNUS Web GUI User's
Guide (Operation)".
 Deletion of SDPV starts.
