Left Crankcase Bearings - Honda Transalp XL700V Manual

CRANKCASE/CRANKSHAFT/TRANSMISSION

LEFT CRANKCASE BEARINGS

Remove the mainshaft bearings using the special
tools.
TOOLS:
Bearing remover, 20 mm
Remover handle
Remover weight
Drive the countershaft bearing out of the left crank-
case.
Drive new bearings into the left crankcase with the
marked side facing up until they are fully seated.
TOOLS:
Mainshaft bearing:
Driver
Attachment, 42 x 47 mm
Pilot, 20 mm
Countershaft bearing:
Driver
Attachment, 52 x 55 mm
Pilot, 25 mm
Apply grease to a new countershaft oil seal lip.
Install the oil seal
with its marked
Install the countershaft oil seal.
side facing out.
RIGHT CRANKCASE BEARINGS
Drive the bearings out of the right crankcase.
