FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Tighten the fork center bolt to the specified torque.
If the fork piston
turns with the fork
TORQUE: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15 lbf·ft)
center socket bolt,
temporarily install
the fork spring and
fork cap
Drive the oil seal until the stopper ring groove is vis-
ible using the special tools.
TOOLS:
Slider weight
Driver attachment
Pour the specified amount of the recommended fork
fluid into the fork tube.
RECOMMENDED FORK FLUID:
Honda ULTRA CUSHION OIL 10W or equivalent
FORK FLUID CAPACITY:
598 ± 2.5 cm
Slowly pump the fork tube several times to remove
any trapped air from the lower portion of the fork
tube.
Compress the fork tube fully. Measure the fluid level
from the top of the fork tube.
FORK FLUID LEVEL: 104 mm (4.1 in)
Pull the fork tube up and install the fork spring with
the tapered side facing down.
