SPRING RETAINER

SPRING SEAT
STEM SEAL
VALVE GUIDE
EXHAUST VALVE
INTAKE VALVES
Blow out all of the oil passages in the cylinder head
STEM SEAL
with compressed air.
Coat new stem seal with engine oil.
Install the spring seat and new stem seal.
SPRING SEAT
Lubricate valve stem and valve guide inner surfaces
VALVE RETAINER
with molybdenum disulfide oil solution.
Install the valve into the valve guide.
To avoid damage to the stem seal, turn the valve
slowly when valve installing.
Install the valve spring with tightly wound coils fac-
ing the combustion chamber.
Install the spring retainer.
