Check the attaching bolts and nuts on the drive and
driven sprockets.
If any are loose, torque them.
Apply engine oil to
the driven sprocket
TORQUE:
nut threads.
Drive sprocket bolt: 10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7 lbf·ft)
Driven sprocket nut: 45 N·m (4.6 kgf·m, 33 lbf·ft)
REPLACEMENT
This motorcycle uses a drive chain with a staked
master link.
Loosen the drive chain (page 3-17).
Assemble the special tool as shown.
When using the
special tool, follow
