Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 7.4.
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 9.0 for EX Series switches.
For devices with multiple Routing Engines only. Configure a

you execute the
command (the requesting Routing Engine) copies and loads its
commit
candidate configuration to the other (the responding) Routing Engines. All Routing Engines
then perform a syntax check on the candidate configuration file being committed. If no
errors are found, the configuration is activated and becomes the current operational
configuration on all Routing Engines.
Starting with Junos OS Release 9.3, accounting of events and operations on a backup
Routing Engine is not supported on accounting servers such as TACACS+ or RADIUS.
Logging of accounting events is supported only for events and operations on a master
Routing Engine.
