Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 10.4 for EX Series switches.
(EX8200 switches only) Assign one or more line cards to a line-card upgrade group by
specifying their slot numbers.
slot-number —The slot number of a line card that is to be the sole member of an upgrade
group.
—A list of slot numbers of the line cards to be included in the upgrade
list-of-slot-numbers
group. Separate the slot numbers with spaces and enclose the list in square
brackets—for example: [3 4 7]

For switches with more than one Routing Engine, including those in a Virtual Chassis,
configure the master Routing Engine to switch over gracefully to a backup Routing Engine
without interruption to packet forwarding.
Graceful Routing Engine switchover (GRES) is disabled.
