silent-interface (RIP view)

Syntax
silent-interface { interface-type interface-number | all }
undo silent-interface { interface-type interface-number | all }

Parameters
interface-type interface-number: Specifies an interface by its type and number.
all: Silents all interfaces.
Description
Use the silent-interface command to disable an interface or all interfaces from sending routing
updates. That is, the interface only receives but does not send RIP messages.
Use the undo silent-interface command to restore the default.
By default, all interfaces are allowed to send routing updates.
Examples
# Configure all VLAN interfaces to work in the silent state, and activate VLAN-interface 10.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] rip 100
[Sysname-rip-100] silent-interface all
[Sysname-rip-100] undo silent-interface vlan-interface 10
