Reaction
Braking along the Closed-loop speed control (p1300 = 20, 21)
OFF3 down ramp
• n_set = 0 is input immediately to brake the drive along the OFF3
followed by pulse
ramp down (p1135).
inhibit
• When zero speed is detected, the motor holding brake (if
parameterized) is closed. The pulses are suppressed when the
closing time of the holding brake (p1217) expires.
Zero speed is detected if the actual speed drops below the
threshold (p1226) or if the monitoring time (p1227) started when the
speed setpoint <= speed threshold (p1226) has expired.
• Switching on inhibited is activated.
Torque control (p1300 = 23)
• Changeover to speed-controlled operation and other reactions as
described for speed-controlled operation.
n_set = 0 • n_set = 0 is input immediately to brake the drive along the OFF3
ramp down (p1135).
• The drive remains in closed-loop speed control.
• For synchronous motors, the following applies:

If a fault occurs with this fault reaction, an internal armature short-
circuit is triggered.
The conditions for p1231 = 4 must be observed.
• For induction motors, the following applies:
If a fault occurs with this fault reaction, DC braking is triggered.
DC braking must have been commissioned (p1232, p1233, p1234).
Internal/external The fault reaction ENCODER is applied as a function of the setting in
pulse inhibit p0491.

Factory setting:
p0491 = 0 --> Encoder fault causes OFF2
