Replacing the Calibration Gas Components

ISQ 7000 Hardware Manual
The EI calibration gas module requires little maintenance, except to refill the calibrant in the
reservoir. Your calibration gas module may need to be replaced if you add too much calibrant
and you contaminate the system. The process is the same for replacing a single- or
dual-calibration gas module.
To replace the EI calibration gas module

1. Shut down your system by following the steps in
on
page
149.
Note You do not have to remove the ion source cartridge or the column. However, you
must vent the instrument.
2. Use a T20 Torxhead screwdriver to loosen the top cover panel and left side panel screws
from the interior front panel. Then slide the left and top cover panels toward the back of
the instrument and lift them off.
3. Use a T20 Torxhead screwdriver to remove the support bracket on the left side of the
instrument.
