7. Check the heater status by clicking the Status tab in the ISQ 7000 Dashboard. If the ion
source is not set to the right temperature, click the Instrument Control button and
change the temperature.

Note If the Status tab is not visible, click the arrow underneath the Shut Down button on
the dashboard to open it.
8. Check the status of the vacuum in the Status tab of the ISQ 7000 Dashboard. Within
10 minutes of powering on the ISQ 7000 mass spectrometer, the vacuum should read
OK. If it does not, see
9. Allow the ISQ 7000 instrument to stabilize for at least 30 minutes before running
samples.
Note You can run the instrument without stabilizing it, but you may have changes in the
masses and intensities as the system equilibrates at the final temperature.
